Celebrating Music, Culture, and Community in Napa Valley

When people think of Napa Valley, what usually comes to mind are the iconic vineyards, elegant tasting rooms, world-class wines, and gently rolling hills. But recently, this celebrated region has also gained recognition for something else: music. Every spring, Napa becomes a cultural hotspot, drawing crowds from across the country for two back-to-back festivals that blend sound, spirit, and social impact — BottleRock and the La Onda Festival.

BottleRock: Big Sound, Big Names, Big Impact

Of the two, BottleRock is the best known. It’s more than a music festival — it’s a cultural event that marks the start of summer in Napa. Tens of thousands of people flock here each year, many buying tickets before the lineup is even announced. Why? Because BottleRock has built a reputation for delivering unforgettable experiences.

Over the years, it has hosted both legends and rising stars — one standout being Taylor Swift, who performed just before her global rise. Attendees often witness the start of something extraordinary. But beyond the stage, what truly defines BottleRock is its atmosphere — a fusion of wine, food, and rhythm that captures the joy, creativity, and connection Napa is known for.

La Onda Festival: Where Culture Meets Cause

Following on BottleRock’s heels is La Onda Festival, a newer addition that brings something distinct and deeply meaningful to the valley. La Onda celebrates Latinx culture through music, food, and community empowerment.

Launched just last year, the festival made a powerful debut with Maná, one of Latin America’s most iconic bands. Their performance set the tone for a celebration grounded in identity and purpose.

This year, while the lineup may not feature the same star power, La Onda continues to lead with intention. A portion of ticket sales goes directly to Puertas Abiertas, a Napa-based nonprofit that provides legal aid, housing assistance, education, and wellness services for Latinx families.

Festivalgoers aren’t just enjoying music — they’re investing in their community. It’s a celebration with purpose, and in that way, La Onda is more than a festival — it’s a movement.

Bazán Cellars: A Commitment Beyond the Bottle

At Bazán Cellars, we’re honored to return as a wine sponsor for La Onda. For us, this isn’t just about pouring great wine — it’s about being part of something bigger.

To that end you can find our cabana in close proximity to the main bar at the festival where you will have the opportunity to enjoy several of our wines by the glass.

Our roots in the Latinx community run deep. From working the vineyards to founding a winery, Mario Bazán’s story reflects the values of hard work, perseverance, and pride. Today, his daughter Daniela Bazán continues that legacy, serving on the board of Puertas Abiertas and helping spark the collaboration between the festival and the nonprofit.

Supporting La Onda means uplifting stories like Mario’s — stories of resilience, vision, and community leadership. It’s about honoring our heritage while helping shape a more inclusive and connected future.

A Shared Vision for Napa Valley

BottleRock and La Onda may seem like opposite ends of the spectrum — one global, the other grassroots. But both embody the energy, diversity, and creativity that make Napa Valley shine. Together, they remind us that culture is as vital as Cabernet — and that celebration can also be a form of service.

At Bazán Cellars, we’re proud to be part of this cultural moment. Whether you’re joining the festivals, supporting local causes, or simply raising a glass, we invite you to be part of the story.

Because in Napa, music may be the headliner, but the heart is always the people.
